Transitioning from Late Summer to Autumn

Sarah Szewzenko

Updated: Mar 21, 2022

We are in the last few days of Late summer. The mornings and days are getting colder and the sunny days fewer and fewer. Our days are getting shorter while or nights are getting longer, we get up on the dark and have dinner at dusk these days. Colorful leaves are decorating the trees and sidewalks and it won't be long until the autumn storms will have turn our trees to bare branches. The gray season is upon us and we are getting ready to draw more inwards. With the weather turning damper and grayer spicier foods and soups and a hot cup of tea become our go to comforters. This week consider including some butternut squash, sweet potatoes and beetroot in your meals and remember to take some time for yourself. With the days getting shorter it is time to do less and relax a bit more.
